We are looking for a qualified People Partner to oversee our human resources operations, both in the U.K and the Netherlands, and ensure they’re aligned with our people strategy, business goals and vision.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience deploying HR best practices and feels comfortable to work at all levels of the HR ‘stack’ strategic, operational, and tactical.  Able to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the business and navigate through areas of ambiguity, recognising when it is appropriate to introduce more structure and process without disrupting BAU or our 1LPG culture.

This is a truly all-round role encompassing all areas of the HR skill set in a scaling business with fantastic opportunities for professional and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Provide timely information and/or education for all levels of a company on HR issues.
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
  • Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organisational development.
  • Participate in the continual development of HR initiatives such as talent acquisition & retention, compensation, benefits, and Learning & Development.
  • Collaborate with the business to champion a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver their best.
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead core HR processes across the employee life cycle e.g. compensation cycle & performance management.
  • Educate, coach and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
  • Analyse and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to the business.

Experience & Personal Attributes:

Essential:

  • Relevant degree or HR qualification.
  • 5+ years’ experience within an international organisation acting as a people partner or HR Business Partner.
  • Bi-lingual (written & oral) Dutch/English.
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch employment law
  • Experience/exposure across the various HR functional areas with particular focus on organisational development, change management, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows upward and downward.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to listen and understand the needs of the employees, together with those of the company and balance these appropriately.
  • A team player.

Desirable:

Working knowledge of U.K. employment law.

Has worked in SME/scale-up environments.
